Update: replacement part (left steering wheel control) was supposed to come 2 weeks ago. Now I am told they don’t know when its supposed to come, German JLR waiting for the UK to deliver one...

Chicken replacing the left hand steering wheel control won't work. One member on full fat forum had his changed not only did they damage the steering wheel but the fault returned almost straight away. SVR 2018 in Santorini Black. |

Thanks and by co-incidence, the GM of the dealer just called -software update expected mid/end April. Confirmed replacements won’t work. Seems to be a processing power issue combined with software issues. JLR has asked dealers to stop replacing steering wheel controls until software is out. It seems that a lot of cross-interference is going on and is what they observe, ie an issue might not appear if e.g. in a certain drive mode etc.

So one month wait , what a joke. Mind you i,m sure your German dealers are far more efficient than in the UK. SVR 2018 in Santorini Black. |

It is frustrating to wait more and more. At least this time they were clear stating I am not the only one with these issues and a replacement at another car did not help. But why did it take more than 4 weeks to confirm??

Any updates folks? have you had your MY18 issues sorted? Anyone else with a new car care to share their experiences of the MY18? |

RRS, I am almost embarrassed to say that having taken delivery on 1 March, I have clocked up 890 trouble free miles apart from one of the washer jets detaching itself. The 2 minor issues with the leather upholstery are waiting for parts to arrive and will be fixed under warranty. Cheers Jas Current RRS: MY18 SVR Previous RRS: MY15 RRS 5.0L Autobiography |

Hi PDC took delivery of mine end January and have taken it to 2500 miles and not a thing wrong- very happy with it. That's comparing it to 6 years in a fantastic Audi A7.
