Help _ rear door will not lock and sets alarm off

My 08 sport is driving me mad as the alarm keeps going off, I did a search and it would appear it’s not the bonnet sensor so went round again and it turns out the rear passenger door won’t lock via central locking and consequently is triggering the alarm to go off every 5 minutes, I can’t even leave it unlocked as it locks itself and so I’ve resorted to disconnecting the battery any ideas of a fix?

Guessing I need a new latch fitted but in between times is there a fix?

can you manually lock it from the inside then lock it as normal?

Yes I’ve tried to do that but it still goes off and I can’t get into the garage until Thursday

is there a push switch either on the door or frame that hte door would push when shut, that may have gone faulty so the car thinks the door is still open...
