What are Laser headlights? I have heard of projector, LED, halogen , etc but not Laser. M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW. |

It's an additional high beam that only the car can activate, when activated it should illuminate for 500m |

Had them on my Velar...not much use unless on country roads TBH. No indication on dash that they are on.. |

That is for sure Jas! They are great on country B roads etc and really light up the road but they don't work on motorways etc so you can't really tell they are on.. |

Are these LED headlamps really any better or is it just technology for technologies sake.

They throw the light longer (half a mile apparently) but as I said it only works on certain roads and only above 50mph so I think the tech can certainly be made better. |

I suspect no improvement. My 14MY L494 certainly does not have lasers, but the dip beam is adequate enough, whilst the full beam does nothing more than illuminate the trees. The beams are not well focused and the light wishy-washy (if you know what I mean) as a result.
