2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

I’m sure that if you don’t renew and the car is stolen then your insurer will not be happy as it is part of the anti-theft system...... Might be cheaper to have a Traffic Master Trakker fitted and pay the Lifetime subscription if you intend to keep the car. Is there no option to have a lifetime sub with In Control remote/secure. I’m in the same situation as mine will expire at the end the end of the 3 years soon too. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

My Sport was 3 years old in November & I expected to pay to keep it going, but out of the blue, just before the warranty expired, I got an email from landrover saying that they were giving me an extra year free. Very Happy No reason, don't know if its because I have a 5 year service plan. Was not going to ask why. Might be worth your while asking the question

1,200 for extended warranty and another 240 for this ... I don't remember my Aston being this expense Sad SVR with a few bits from Urban and Glohh

Thanks for all the replies.
It does work - but as with many others there have been problems with IOS updates and revisions to the app.

I was aware that without it I would have to consider a Tracker but it's a lot of hassle.

I do have the 5 year maintenance pack so I might hang on for a bit..

I knew it was coming but it's just the price and there are no other options for 2 or 3 year etc. Current: MY15 RRS2 3.0 SDV6 Autobiography Dynamic, Aruba Gold, HUD, Meridian 1700w

Aren't these services now free with new RRS? Or still a billable extra?

Any news Peanut? I'm in the same boat, and wondering if I should renew too or if the service plan covers it.

I got my renewal email last week, on 28th Feb and renewed it there and then as I am out of the UK and cannot contact LR to find out if the 5 years service agreement also covers this. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Well I have drawn a blank on this.
Local dealer seemed to know nothing about iNControl at all. Started to trot out the "you need to remove the App and then re-instal it" which relates to the recent IOS compatibility problems.
Promised to find someone in their organisation who did - that was over a week ago.

JLR responded - "£Thank you for your e-mail to the Land Rover UK Customer Relationship Centre.
A member of our team will be reviewing the content of your e-mail and will be completing initial investigations which may include contact to your Land Rover UK Retailer. We will endeavour to respond to you within 3 working days" - that was a week ago.

So at the moment I will renew it grudgingly as I do make use of it.
I am surprised that there has been little feedback on this - perhaps I am out of touch and £240 a year is not considered a lot.

My 3 year Warranty has also expired - absolutely no contact from JLR. I'm now looking at options.
At least I have the 5 year service deal. Current: MY15 RRS2 3.0 SDV6 Autobiography Dynamic, Aruba Gold, HUD, Meridian 1700w

In the same boat

Mine expires in May.

I have also emailed LR support... and won't bother asking my local dealer...

Interesting to see where this goes.

I noticed on the Discovery Sport Forum that LR are apparently opening an Incontrol online store to renew... this is dated last week, can't find anything online.

In terms of the DS owners, it looks like they are also being offered a one year extension by email. This seems to ONLY apply to first registered owners. Apparently this does not apply to subsequent owners, even when buying through LR approved...
