I'd be interested in this too...The 275/40/20 feels a tad harsh to me. |

275/45/20 is the way to go no mods required and no speedo issues. I’ve been running that size for years. I changed my spare for a match wheel/tyre as well. 2008 G4 RRSport TDV8 current

I have just fitted the 45 profile speedo is now only 1mph out at 70 when compared to the GPS. No issues with access height but not deflated the corners to check if any issues but you wouldn’t be driving it that low anyway.

My spare is a 175/80/ r19, so would need replacing? As not much room under the rear to fit a larger diameter spacesaver wheel, recon 15mm before it would foul the box section of the bumper😳 |

There is sufficient room underneath to fit a full size spare with a 275/45 x 20 tyre without to much trouble. Cheers Col |

We need to replace our 275/40 20 tyres shortly - if I have read correctly changing to a 45 profile doesn't cause any issues? |

I ran 275/45 x 20" for several years, now run 275/45 x 21" and have had absolutely no issues what so ever, the difference in speedo reading is also negligible in fact if anything it is more accurate.

I informed my insurance company (Admiral) who made a note on the policy but other than that nothing else needed to be done. |

2016 RRS SVR Estoril Blue 2005 4.2L Supercharged Java Black - gone but was my first love. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If we all point our RR's in the same direction and accelerate at the same time can we turn back time? |
