Adaptive lighting problem

Hello All,

I have just had a strange problem with my 2008 RRS.

Everything was working fine, took the car to the garage for transmission oil change, when I started it after we had finished (I was with them the whole time, so I know that the mechanic didn't touch anything else) one of the lights won't rise when it finishes the "dance".

The error message on the IID is: B1C90-14 (6C) Auxillary driving lamps relay coil circuit - General electrical failure - circuit shot to ground or open

I have now driven for 20 minutes, and the light seems to have come back up again (after restarting of course).

Does anyone have any idea what this problem is, and how to sort it out?

Thanks for your help.

Nick

The fault code applies to the optional 4 lights in the bumper

What extra lights in the bumper. I don't have any extra lights in the bumper.

plenty of stuff on here about this. Thumbs Up

Try this for a start http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/topic44339....ling+fault

And also this http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/topic45088....ling+fault

My current situation is that I’ve managed to manage it so far and haven’t yet parted with vast sums of money......

Still get the occasional problem but normally a stop and restart tends to fix it. I do now drive without auto lights on though. My latest theory (with a 15% confidence) is that it may be linked to moisture in the headlamp. Just a wild guess really but if you notice any in your lamp perhaps we can compare notes. Robin
