My tailgate glass switch has stopped working took out the switch sprayed it with contact cleaner tested it with my meter and the switch is completing the circuit. So I'm at a loss now so what else could it be.

broken wire in the rubber boot at the top of the tailgate maybe ?

Cheers Andy will have a look when it stops peeing down hang on this is Bacup rain is normal weather , just hope it's not the lock god know how I'd get it out with the door closed If it ain't broken down it soon will

Stopped raining so went out and checked if there was power to the switch socket nothing, there are three rubber boots which I assume are for the wiring/screen washer so which one has the wires I want to check.

I doubt you will see 12v at the switch.

Ah so an iid tool might help. I've ordered one from Dan he's running a group buy on the D3 forum so I'll wait for that. Cheers If it ain't broken down it soon will

I'll live with it for now, got another problem now the top fixing that holds the tailgate damper has sheared have a set of esi-outs so will tackle it tomorrow. I love landrovers I never get bored thanks for looking anyway Andy If it ain't broken down it soon will

Well found out why the pivot bolt has sheared the damper had seized good job it didn't rip a hole in the body work. ordered a new pair to be safe plus they are handed If it ain't broken down it soon will
