Andy, I would guess that on a 2005 car your headlamps are not totally sealed as per the description by RRSTDV8 above.

In the 80's and 90's we used the completed seal headlights.

I am hoping if I can remove a lot of the moisture then that will solve the issue but will keep you updated. I think there maybe too much moisture for the natural venting system to handle so I am thinking if I can get as much as I can out then hopefully the light unit will be able to handle what is left?! Right all set for tomorrow’s test. I have a rather large number of silica gel sachets and have tied a piece of string so I can retrieve them easy enough. I was going to try it this morning without but realised I could only just about fit my hand down the back of the light unit.
