I've purchased the F770 Thinkware 2 channel dashcam - I've used the search button & noticed it's a popular piece of kit

Is there a fool proof idiots guide somewhere to help me with a hard wire install - current model 14MY L494

I’m also after this info Peachy,,I’m sure someone posted somewhere on here which fuses to connect to.At the minute I’m using the cig lighter to power mine but I’m wanting to hardwire it.

Andy - thanks for the quick reply - is your front cam to the drivers side of the rear mirror - I read it was a pain to remove - access it in that position but I don't seem to have that issue  16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

Yes mine is to the drivers side of the mirror,,makes it easier if I want to press the button to record.

Cheers Col - I've been out & trialed its location - the right side of the rear view mirror is where it will be placed it's a bit cold & dark to start messing around now but will have another play in the morning - hope your enjoying your new surroundings

I might be being a bit thick here, but how does the lane-departure feature know that you haven't deliberately changed lane? Does the warning go off quite a lot?

It's a bit basic really, simply picks up white line markings so every time you change lanes it just beeps at you a lot, which is why I have mine disabled. I think the general idea is to let you know if you start to wander across the white line a bit.

2-4. Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS)
Audible warning notifies the driver in real time when the vehicle is leaving its lane. This warning is only enabled
when the vehicle is traveling above 50km/h (approx 30mph)
* Default setting : 80km/h (approx 50mph)

2-5. Forward Collision Warning System (FCWS)
Audible warning notifies the driver in real time to avoid possible rear-end collision when the vehicle is ahead
is slowing or stopped. The warning is only enabled when the vehicle is traveling above 30km/h (approx 20
mph)

 LDWS Setting
1. Verify that the GPS is connected by checking for the green light on GPS LED.
2. Enable LDWS feature by selecting "Dashcam Settings > Road safety settings
> LDWS" on the Thinkware Dash Cam Mobile Viewer.
