I have an update and will type it up a bit later tonight. Long story short, it got to the point where I called them on a Friday and told them if they don't put me through to the person looking after my car I was going to show up with Police because it seemed like they either have lost, damaged or sold my car... Got called back within 10 min to tell me my car was ready. But that's not the whole story, to be continued... Vadim A. |

Surely Andy your old car would still be young enough, unless over 100,000 miles, to be sold as an Approved car with the full 2 year Warranty package, so would be fully covered by that anyway? Any car just purchased at these prices would be covered anyway in first 4 weeks so shouldn’t even need your old warranty to be transferred, covered also under sale of goods act etc. Cannot see reason for any problems and it’s the new owner that has to transfer balance of warranty, not you or selling dealer. Most strange indeed. John RRS MY12 SDV6 HSE. The new owner should get on to LRCS and get LR to pay for the engine. There is precedent as I understand it. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

I'm just waiting for paper work to transfer warranty to new owner,,i spoke to LR warranty yesterday & the guy said the warranty belongs to the car not the owner so their shouldn't be a problem claiming for new engine. The cost is over 18k+vat.

It isn’t just JLR franchises who are poor at responding to emails - I gave up waiting for my local BMW dealers to get back to me about an i3.............. the Mini dealership on the same site responded immediately and guess who has sold me a new car..... and they are only 20 minutes drive from home so could have done everything on the phone, but doing it by email means that I have a record of everything. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Lookers Park Royal are a nightmare. Full of cowboys with no integrity. I was horrified, my first RR and thought it was a premium brand. Is it worth me switching dealers for any servicing etc or stick with where I purchased the car? 2018/19 Range Rover Sport SVR [black] |

SVRfan, you can take your car to any JLR approved service agent for servicing or warranty claims however if you didn’t buy the car from them then you might not get a courtesy car or you will go to the end of the waiting list for one. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

If you are expecting anything better from a Surrey dealer in the guy salmon group, they are definitely not better than you have had so far! |
