The technical notice that 1JBS posted a few pages earlier states that it was last modified 06 May 2014 , I'm hoping that if LR were aware of the issue back then in the assembly of the bearings they would of done something about it and thus later models like the 306hp would be okay ......Clutching at straws maybe as I have just purchased a MY16 .

The fact remains, people will still have a RR on their drive even knowing that it's unreliable. RR is a status symbol. Owning one makes owners feel very special. If you want reliability, buy a Land Cruiser, but you wont feel quite that special. 2012 Range Rover Sport Autobiography 3.0 SDV6

People with deep pockets might, I've had one engine go fortunately Warranty wise contributed to its replacement and I put a LR supplied engine back in with 2 years warranty from them. When that 2 years is up its going, would I have another ? Not a chance how can you enjoy something that might cost you 20k the next time you start it up. Nanocom Evo |

Not necessarily so. I came back to this forum after an absence of a few years as I was contemplating buying a second hand Sport but I've been put off by this very thread as no matter how good it looks on my drive I want and need a car that starts and runs every day which is something that my last three BMW's have done. On to plan B which is either a Porsche Panamera or Tesla S type or even perhaps a Maserati Quattroporte |

Well its getting very interesting,,i hope someone from LR have seen this post as it could have lost them a lot more than the 20k it would have cost to fit a replacement engine in my old sport.

What's going on his LR are designing beautiful cars that sell themselves and the engineering is now lower priority along with customer service |
