2016 AB heated seats

Just got a 2016 autobiography last week ,and really love it , however the heated seats are a bit of a problem , in our Audi q7 of past you usually put it on max to start and then turn down to a comfortable level which just kept you a nice cosy temperature all day, however on the range rover even number one setting is way too hot to be comfortable and so end up switching it on and off every few minutes ! Is this normal or should I be on the phone to the dealer . Do they work by blowing air from the cabin heater matrix and thus temperature is effected by cabin setting or do they have their own heater matrix of some sorts ?
The other issue I have is no remote climate option on my phone app despite car having in control remote premium . I spoke to customer services and asked if maybe my car didn't have this feature but they insisted it did and would get back to me today as to why it's not working , saying that maybe a poor battery would prevent it working and thus remove the option from the app , does that sound right because from reading back through this site it appears MY2016 don't have the feature

The heated seats are electric and on a timed system and they switch off after a set time, so you couldn’t leave them on all day. You can rewrite the temperature range in the CCF file if you have a GAP IID BT Tool or similar. Your dealer should be able to sort that out for you, when on one they can seem hot as standard.

I’m not sure how the cooling of the seats works in the summer (wasn’t available when I got mine) but I’m sure someone will be along shortly.

The FBH may (if fitted) not have correct equipment or set up to work, again if you have only recently purchased your car 🚙 the dealer should be able to check and show operation of etc. John

I didn’t have an issue with the heated seats in mine.

Re: timed climate, you have to have the FFBH on 16MY cars to get the option in the app. 17MY brought remote engine start with it and you didn’t need the FFBH anymore.

This is interesting because some have actually complained about Autobiography seats not heating quickly and adequately enough. I find mine to be OK. Autobiography spec has "climate" (heated and cooled) front seats as standard and BOTH heating and cooling are achieved by blowing air through the tiny holes in the seats, as opposed to electric heating element. Don't think seats depend on the cabin's climate control temperature as they have their own heating/cooling settings.

As pointed out above, 16MY does not have fuel burning aux heater as standard so remote climate via app or fob is only available if the option was added at new car order time. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

Thanks guys,
In response to Marcus's PM as the site won't allow me to respond to PM's being new ! We paid £57844 for it , it's a 16 plate with 20k miles , and has options of premium metallic paint ,sliding roof, dual screen tv and the important one for us electric deployable towbar . I think if you didn't need the towbar there are a lot more options out there for a bit less money .

Waiting very, we were going to get the roof painted black but now we've got it home we quite like it as it is . Great colour for not showing the dirt of our country lanes after years of having black

The heated seats in my 2014 HSE used to fry my backside in minutes, even on the minimum setting, and were useless as a result. On the other hand, the heated seats on my 2017 AB seem much more subtle which means you can leave them on the lowest setting for the whole journey. Delighted to see also that they've moved the heated seats control out of the infotainment system and incorporated them in the climate control temperature dial, which is where they should have been in the first place
