TBH - don't think it will cause any permanent damage - I have replaced 2 of those due to fading & they are not sealed to the windscreen. It's about 30 mins to change & is a DIY job |

Thanks for that. Will the water cause any damage to anything by running under it instead of over it and any idea where to pick a new one up from?
