Well as my car never came with the cool box I was wondering if its possible to retro fit one I've had a good search of the forum but can't really see much on this, so does anyone know if its possible, if so is it just plug and play or does a CCF need changing and if it does will the GAP IID tool be able to do this. My car is a MY2012.

if everything is the same as a disco 3/4 then it is easy to retrofit i did mine with a fridge from a disco 4 all the wiring is in place and it was plug and play and it does cool drinks and chocolate well |

Thanks for the replies, Just had a look at prices and if this is the correct part No LR076833, the price seems quite reasonable, in fact a new one seems to be cheaper than some are charging for second hand units on Ebay |

Well I contacted Dan and he confirmed the cool box is plug and play, part No is LR076833. So I've ordered one and will fit it when next home. Also got a slight discount on RRP. |

Iām sure that Dan would have checked, but there is many different models and lid variations, depending on year and VIN number, I was surprised at the different models and facilities and finishes etc.

I think there's only two models you need to pick from now, either LR076833 or LR075160 this seems to have superseded the previous earlier type of cooler, no need to purchase a lid it just needs transferring over. |

The box doesn't come with the tray as standard either.

It's just a Peltier cooler on an uninsulated box so its performance is always going to be a bit limited really. I guess one could insulate the box which would help things stay cool for a bit longer once the engine is switched off.
