I’m just in the process of having my middle box & resonator removed & straight pipes put in their place,,I’m just cutting them then getting another straight pipe then sleeving it.Mine is the 5.0 but the exhausts are similar.

Hi pal I have just had one custom made from quick silver cost me £1000.00 it makes TDV8 sound like a V8 Petrol Awsom, I can not imagine what yours would sound like after having it installed, I am sure you will not be disappointed, please note I have nothing to do with quick silver I only used them as my Local Indi Recomended them!

This is like my exhaust system & we are going to cut behind the resonator box marked red & at the front of the box it slides over where it comes from the cats,,so we are just going to get some straight pipe & sleeve both pipes front & rear,,job done at a cost of about £80-£100.

Have you looked at MIJ Performance Walsall? I’ve had a couple of stainless bespoke exhausts made by them and both were superb. One on a V6 Vectra VXR and they made a like for like exhaust for my Westfield. Both had first class welding. They offer a while you wait service and we’re very competitively priced. Think I paid around £400 for the Vectra for a complete hand made cat back system. |

I was just going to do that with my exhaust but the pipe needs bending on the 4.2 to line up by the looks (thats what it looks like on this pic i found on here anyway)

I am going with that option Andy 👍 i figure if i like the sound i will investigate more and get one made. I have measured the exhaust it is just under 56mm... can only find 54mm or 57mm pipe, there is always an issue 😂 i guess go for 54mm and clamp it down. |

Here you go Tome,,mines 55mm at rear but I’m also removing front box which is 60mm so I’ve got a sleeve with 55mm at one end & 60mm at the other.

So what did you do in the end? Remove the 1 centre box? I`m having second thoughts now about doing this. Steve. |
