You'd think the charger would have a trickle mode to stop overcharging. This happened to our phone at home once. Went on hols for two weeks, leaving the handset on the base unit (and thus charging), came back to find it was dead and non-revivable, even with a new set of batteries.

I had the road angel plus. Great idea no wires but it dose not hold it's charge for long.

Must prefer the Road Pilot Micro Go.

You can adjust he colour to match your dash lights. Cool Looks way much better than the road angel.

Jay, Save your money and get a Talex (www.talex.co.uk) instead. I've had one for just over six months now and they are very good and excellent value for money.
I used to use the speed camera detection on my SmartNav, but I then got flashed by a camera in motorway roadworks. I then saw this review in the AutoExpress mag
http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/carreviews/pr...ators.html

I've got the full Talex (rather than the TalexLite). You can now get these on eBay with 12 months subscritiption included rather than just six.

I know someone else who has a RoadAngel and he's just been flashed on by a temporary camera, which is what the RoadAngels don't cover very well. He's now purchased a Talex too. They are so much cheaper and have a very comprehensive coverage. You really need to update it every week on the internet, which takes about 5 mins. Matt

RRS ownership for 1 yr, then D3 for 2 yrs. Then cut back to old bangers and working my way back up through two Peugeots in 6 months. Now got Saab 9-5 2.3t and enjoying the performance!

It seems to me that you need to either detect or jam laser beams used in mobile vans as these seem to be the easiest method to catch you out, well that's what happened to me a couple of months ago Sad

I know there is talk of banning the jammers but maybe not the laser detectors Smile

It is all very well having GPS detecting the fixed cameras etc, but then to rely on that only to get caught with a mobile laser van Shocked

This is a good website with loads of info on detectors, police speed trap devices etc

I was only really interested in the Road Angel Plus because of the fact it portable and wont use any unsightly cables. Previously I was intending to have an Origin B2 integrated into the RRS

Clearly I need to read more Confused
