Exhaust tips on HSE Dynamic

Hi guys.

I have recently bought a Corris Grey 2014 HSE Dynamic and it's fully loaded with toys too Mr. Green I'm loving it to bits. One thing I would like to change though is the round exhaust tips.

Has anybody changed these ? I am looking at changing them to oval ones.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Tom.

'Different tips' would be great. The round design just doesn't look 'right' IMO, I would love a decent aftermarket alternative that would fit like factory. 2016 RRS Autobiography - 4.4 TDV8 - Santorini Black with Ivory Leather - Grey Alloys - A few toys

Hi Milesg.

Yea I'm not a lover of the standard little round exhaust pipes I always say they look like pea shooters Rolling Eyes

I think the HSE Dynamaic and Autobiography Dynamic should of had a different exhaust finish at the back a lot more chunky and different style spoiler to show that they are the better handling versions.

My old 62 plate Firenze Red HSE Red limited addition had the autobiography body kit on it with the massive square exhausts at the back they were gorgeous.
I was thinking if you could get a set of the square exhausts and fit them in place but not sure if they would look right or even fit ?
I think maybe oval would look nice at the rear Thumbs Up

I'm sure somebody on here has changed these exhausts ? I think 4 pipes look too much, two classy oval ones would look amazing.

Hopefully we get some pictures of modified ones Very Happy

Hi Flectcher.

Cheers for the info.

I researched that and found some lovely ones on ebay as you said Thumbs Up might go for this Mr. Green

Or get some custom tips fitted on for me by my local custom exhaust specialist in Honnningham in Norfolk. They are brilliant for custom stainless steel exhausts Thumbs Up

I see the Milltek parts bypass the rear silencer box and are NOT just tips. I'm not adverse to having a loud exhaust on the right car but on a diesel RRS I'm not convinced I'd want it. An engine has to sound good in the first place to sound good louder. Has anyone actually fitted these parts and able to offer an insight into the quality and volume of the noise?

I'm like a magpie for shiny bits but this could well be a wasted £400 if it kills the serenity of the car 2017 SDV6 Autobiography; Carpathian Grey, Ivory, Soft Close, Extended Grand Black.

Changing rear exhaust boxes on 3.0V6 diesel Jags made very little difference to the sound - the turbos and DPFs on diesels have taken pretty much all the energy out of the exhaust stream by the time it arrives at the back end. In fact you could drop the rear boxes off completely and not hear much difference!

So I shall be interested to read if any real difference is made to the exhaust note by this mod on the Sport. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

The Miltek pipes do drop off the rear boxes. The rear box is removed and these pipes provide the 'missing link' obviously with no silencing effect.

Without any other facts the noise has to be louder, it can only be that with a missing (large) silencer. I remain unconvinced that the engine is worth hearing at higher volume.

Need some empirical testing though, but it won't be from me. 2017 SDV6 Autobiography; Carpathian Grey, Ivory, Soft Close, Extended Grand Black.

I had black miltek tips fitted to mine but as said above the rear silencers need to come off,I had it so the exhaust tips came out the back level,it looked great & was done by a local specialist called r-tec in Hatfield herts,i there was a slight change in noise level but nothing to worry about,I will try & find a image
