'Different tips' would be great. The round design just doesn't look 'right' IMO, I would love a decent aftermarket alternative that would fit like factory. 2016 RRS Autobiography - 4.4 TDV8 - Santorini Black with Ivory Leather - Grey Alloys - A few toys |

I see the Milltek parts bypass the rear silencer box and are NOT just tips. I'm not adverse to having a loud exhaust on the right car but on a diesel RRS I'm not convinced I'd want it. An engine has to sound good in the first place to sound good louder. Has anyone actually fitted these parts and able to offer an insight into the quality and volume of the noise?

Changing rear exhaust boxes on 3.0V6 diesel Jags made very little difference to the sound - the turbos and DPFs on diesels have taken pretty much all the energy out of the exhaust stream by the time it arrives at the back end. In fact you could drop the rear boxes off completely and not hear much difference!

The Miltek pipes do drop off the rear boxes. The rear box is removed and these pipes provide the 'missing link' obviously with no silencing effect.

I had black miltek tips fitted to mine but as said above the rear silencers need to come off,I had it so the exhaust tips came out the back level,it looked great & was done by a local specialist called r-tec in Hatfield herts,i there was a slight change in noise level but nothing to worry about,I will try & find a image |
