2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Fuji White

SC exhaust

Has anyone on here with a SC fitted a aftermarket exhaust system so is sounds more like the SVR.?

Hi,

I did this about 6 months ago.

I just got the "snail shell" collector box removed and a couple of straight pipes welded in place, keeping both the rear silencers and the noise is outrageous!!!

When you take your foot off the gas in Sport mode it roars and growls and bangs just like an SVR and booting it sounds like the end of the world!

It cost £250.

Hi Andy,

Your car is much newer than mine so i'm not sure what yours has underneath.

I effectively have 3 sets of silencers starting with the main collector box from the engine headers and directly behind that is the "snail shell" and then the rear silencers (one on each pipe).
The first picture is looking from underneath the engine towards the back of the car where you can see the main collector box followed directly by the “snail shell”. The snail shell is the one with the dimples in it;

The snail shell is effectively a big baffle box and I removed that and fitted 2 stainless still pipes in place, welded onto the back of the first collector box and onto the pipes that then separate off to the rear silencers each side which you can see in the next 2 pictures;

The “snail shell” can be refitted later if needed!

Yes scrumpy,,im sure that's the bit that's been cut out,,this is the link to the full exhaust system on flea bay.

im sure their is a place in driffield near me that does performance bits to cars,,ill go see them & see if they can cut the box out then sleeve it & if I need to refit at a later date I can do it myself.

Looks like it to me too.
Good luck Andy, it really does increase the sound 10x. The fitters told me I could remove the rear silences too but it doesn't need it!
My Mrs doesn't like it but I love the way it growls round town and roars on the A roads!!
The added bonus is the crackle and pop in Sport mode on the down shift just like an SVR!!

Ive also got the black letters for it of flea bay,,£39.95 with the L494 template,,Dan at Duckworths wanted £240.Plus Im ordering some sidesteps.

That is in Sloane Street in london, near Harrods where you get all the supercars with Arabic number-plates! I live and work close to there!

Here's a video of mine, unfortunately I wasn't in Sport mode, I was in Drive so you don't quite get all the SVR stuff going on but you get to hear how loud it is.

It does change sound in Sport mode but only because of the higher rev range (Sport mode lets the revs increase between gear changes from about 2500 rpm to 7000 rpm).

There are aftermarket systems that let you set variable valve which is something I think the SVR does (I could be wrong) but they will set you back £1,000 or more.

Ive had a price from a company about £700 for exhaust but I need to also change rear bumper for svr type & we are then going into 000's which I don't want to do.
