If you're changing just tyres - no. The sensor is attached to the wheel.. If you are changing wheels and tyres, you'll need sensors on the new wheels. The car should pick up the new sensors quite quickly, but to save any possible hassle, I would just get programmable TPMS sensors and clone the ID so the winter wheels have the same IDs as the summer wheels. |

If you are just changing tyres then you don't need new sensors,,let the tyre company know they have sensors as they have to put the rims in a certain place on the tyre machine so not to damage the sensor or the tyre.

The tyre needs to go so the valve is in the 4.0 clock position,,i explained this to one customer who came at 4.o clock for his tyres fitting |
