Interesting Device

Has anyone had any experience of this little device that is being plugged on line ?

https://shop.super-obd.com/products/super-...ar-scanner

It seems too cheap (£19.99) for what it claims to do.

I'd be interested in getting the members opinions before trying one.

I wouldn't risk it if I were you for 2 reasons.
Firstly, a device claiming to do all that for such a low price can't be quality and it's not specifically designed for LR. God knows what it could do to your ECUs.
Secondly, I bought a TV box claiming to do streaming of all sports channels etc through the same looking page (that was advertised on FB) and it never turned up and they didn't reply to any emails. Luckily I paid with a credit card so got a full refund.
I have a feeling it is the same people under a different company name.
Some might argue that for £20 it's worth a punt but it could end up costing you a lot more than that! 2016 RRS SVR Estoril Blue

If we all point our RR's in the same direction and accelerate at the same time can we turn back time?

That looks similar to or the same as what are generally referred to as 'ELM 327 clones' . A cheap Chinese copy. They are available on eBay for even less money. If you are lucky it will actually work usually used with a free app called Torque. Of course it will only read and clear generic OBD2 codes and display live values of the same generic data. So fun; but not really much use on the RRS which is so complex with many systems that the clone won't be able to read codes for.

I have one similar that cost about £5; I've used it to clear an engine management light on a friend's Audi A3 after changing his faulty brake light switch. So now he thinks I'm some sort of mechanical genius.

If you Google ELM 327 you'll find loads of information. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

Buy a elm of Amazon for half that, but only works on Android. They're OK for odb2 stuff, but doesn't compare to a iidtool. Of course the iid is a touch more expensive
