Maybe they just don't want it to compete with the Velar. |

The more I look at Velar, the more I think it won't steal RRS sales. But you may have a fair point. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

So the couple of guys on this forum 'in the know' who told us all we would know by July about the new model year changes haven't got a clue. Thank goodness I ignored them a few months ago, ordered and took delivery of my car and have now thoroughly enjoyed it for 2 months.

I meant more compete for publicity etc. When the hoo-ha over the Velar has died down a bit, they'll have something else to publicise, |

Well, there is never much hoo ha about Model Year detail changes anyway. They tend to be kept quiet, so as to not disturb the flow of sales I suspect.

I thought this included an all-electric version, though? |

RRSMan inferred that he knew what the changes would be and that they were going to be significant with an announcement in July. has he got anymore info?

I think the only "spy" pictures / video anybody has seen are those originally published by Motor Authority back in May which seem to have been regurgitated several times! Yes there have been a few claims here about how superb the MY 2018 looks but nobody has trumped up with anything material and I doubt anybody would.

You have bought an MY17 so why worry? Enjoy your car! The changes were due to be announced in July but it seems they have been delayed no idea why! The significant changes talked about previously are happening and the updated RRS will appear most likely with a PheV sometime soon...I know people who have seen the car but are unable to tell me much more! |

I'm not worrying, just curious. A hybrid will be great for my next car so fingers crossed. Tim |

I thought JLR had officially announced a RRS plug-in hybrid for "early 2018"?
