I am having similar issues too on my MY2005. It refuses to go on the motorway and I cant find any settings to alter it. |

I have got a Tom Tom, got it a while back as the sat nav in the D2 was pretty useless, but better than the one in the sport. just wondered if all the sport ones were so bad, seems strange for such a high end car. |

On my 2008 RRS the sat nav gives me 3 options after I've set a destination. Quick, Normal and Short. Quick tends to use fast roads (motorways etc) even if the distance is longer. Short (as the name suggests) is the shortest distance and will take all the back roads no matter what if that's the least miles. Normal is somewhere in the middle. Robin

Mines the same as Eaters, 3 options which seems to work and be trust worthy

Must admit I haven't had any of the noted problems, and as others (Stevepd) I get a choice of three routes for any destination input, giving number of miles and journey time in hours and minutes. These routes have different colours and the route can be previewed.
