That's comforting. They were on the car when I bought it but I've got them all around... |

Standard fit Pirelli's aren't much better. I had the same issue on the M6 smart motorways section. Not funny at all, and the number of people hurtling towards your stationary car and dodging it right at the last moment as you watch on helpless is terrifying. Had to be recovered off at a charge of £250 |

Highways England insisted I was recovered off the M6 b1y their contractors as the car was not driveable and they said the AA etc would not touch the job to change the tyre as too dangerous. Even though they shut the whole motorway for ten mins while I was winched onto a truck - more than enough time to have changed the ******* wheel, the |

Sorry I'm sure that's bullshit, if you have recovery service membership, you are entitled to use it, even after a crash. (If covered by membership)

John, it's not bullshit. Why would I make that up ? Two Highways England officers confirmed to me that this was what had to be done and that the AA etc (or in my case contractors used by Elephant) would not come out. They were not offering to close only 2 of the four lanes, and as I said they shut the entire 4 lanes while the recovery truck winched me on. I did discuss the fee with Elephant who did refuse to cover it.

Bear in mind there was no hard shoulder, this was 4 lane no hard shoulder smart motorway, all 4 lanes live, no refuge bay to pull in to, vehicle undriveable. As I said. |

Leither. I think if you read back what Johnski has said, you will see he is not calling you bullshit but AA and highway guys bullshit for the fact that you had to pay for the tow off and not being able to claim in on AA
