Hi all can anyone tell me or point me
In the right direction of how to remove
The driver side cover to the lifters
need to have a look at them got a tap tap noise
Hopefully shouldn't be to hard to remove cover
read Haynes manual but that is removing everything
On the way to covers
Just wonderd if there was an easier way
As it says remove bulkhead harness to get to bolts on coolant crossover pipe
Or is that the only way

It's not easy although I don't think the loom needs to move

Fuel rail off and it's mounting bracket.
Injectors out (twist a bit)
Y inlet off

Oh and the bloody cambelt cover as there is a bolt under there

Black fuel pipes in the way and coolant pipe as you say

of course to get the lifters out, you need to remove the cambelt and cams


oil pumps are a nightmare for breaking on the cambelt tensioner once messed with (on 2007 models) so would need a new oil pump.

All a lot of commitment and expense

And let's not forget the special tools to remove and refit the rear cam seal...

It's the drivers side.

I was thinking or the crank seal though !

Though why you would only do half a set...

and realiseing what it entails to access lifters
I think that's a job for the indie
What are your thoughts on doing an
Engine flush to see if that will quieten lifters down
Any recommendation on what flush to use

Get it nice and hot, drain the oil, remove the filter and let drain overnight

Refill with good quality oil and an OEM or genuine filter

Do you think that oil is ok
If not what would be best oil to use
That is what shop said was right oil
