No, you can still order one but you might not get the exact spec you would like as the car will come from the stock of cars held at Gaydon. 2017MY cars will continue to be built to fulfil existing orders. Usually the next model year will go into build after the factory summer break in July. If you order a factory build now you are likely to have a 2018MY model delivered in September/ October even though you don't know what specs will be. Your dealer SHOULD advise you once specs are released and discuss with you if you want to continue with the order. In previous years when there is a model year change after you have paid a deposit and fixed a price LR has not imposed the increased price on the new car. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

When we bought the current Mrs Wilf's Evoque, we got a deal for having the last of the existing MY (which we actually wanted anyway). MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

As Wilf says, I have bought an RRS and a FFRR right at the end of a model year (in the case of the FFRR it was also just after a face lift was released too) and the discounts have way exceeded any perceived drop in value because of the model year change. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Ah - for some reason I had picked up that the new MY announcements were early July, since any cars ordered after that would be to the new MY spec anyway. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

Idly flicking through the RR Sport site, I spotted a dash picture that showed the dash centre LCD screen showing a full width satnav map - was that a MY17 change?

Not yet. If you go by the previous 2 years, changes to the following year have been announced around the 2nd week of August.

I have it on good grounds that the reveal will be the first week of October and that first deliveries will be January. |
