That's strange, I've had a call today saying my SVR is ready about 6 weeks early

If they can't give a confirmed date for delivery, I'd be cancelling the order, very poor customer service which shouldn't be expected for cars in this price range, marque.  John

Thought I would give you all an update.
After enquiries were made by the Executive Team I have finally got a result and my car will be ready for handover from the Visitor Centre next Tuesday.The delay was due to a part required for the tailgate
Everyone is getting quite excited now especially my girls who are having the Jungle Experience, so thrills all round.
Thank you once again for everyones comments and help
Will post some photos once I get it

So talking to dealer today about arranging collection. He gave me the telephone number of landrover insurance but said he's not sure if they will cover an SVR
Then I say I intend to use debit card to settle balance owed and he says they don't do debit card over £5K anyone else have this. My bank restrict online transfers to £10k per day

That may be dealer specific, as I paid £24k from my debit card for a Jaguar XF, only issue was the machine gave a number to call which I then had to answer several questions to confirm who I was. Once confirmed, all went through no bother. My bank also has an online limit, but didn't affect it.

It may or may not have been the dealers preferred method, but he was give 3 hours to complete the sale before I had to head home (I hadn't planned buying a car, I just had spare time so browsed to stave off boredom)

I used a debit card for a £15k transaction not that long ago. No problems.

And the wife bought her Ewok outright on hers. three or so years back now though. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

I once gave my wife my card to pick up a car, which caused a problem when she got the telephone number to call. Fortunately they were then able to use my other account, over the phone with me as "cardholder not present" and it worked fine!
