Congratulations - what sort of warranty does it have? Standard 3 months non-franchised dealer warranty? I would suggest you drive it for 3-4 months before you decide if it needs a remap.

I have 12 months warranty with company I bought it off. first 3 months they'll cover everything and after that they cover main components. test drove car and notice slight vibration on steering and they changed brake discs within 2 hours. RRS Autobiography TDV6 MY10 |

IIRC The lamps with the magnifiers are the Xenons - some folks call them "projector" lights. BTW the "signature" LEDs are not Daylight running lights on your car, the LEDS will only come on when you run with dipped headlights but it is possible to modify them - search in the forum as it has been covered. One suggestion - take the VIN into a main dealer service bay and ask them to check for outstanding recall work and TSB's that might not have been carried out. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

It may have been removed by the garage - there is a thriving market on eBay for them - to check, look in the middle of the rear bumper and if there is a removable section in the middle, take it out and see if there are electrics installed - at the very least there will be a whacking great cast in recovery eye, if there is a slot for the removable tow hook and electrics then the dealer owes you a tow hook! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Yes, it is bi-xenon. The xenon lamps are used for both dipped and main beams - that's what bi-xenon means. The halogen lamp is a "fill in" lamp to ensure a more uniform beam pattern when main beam is selected. This is easily "upgraded" to a whiter light output if you wish. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |

Yes I have noticed the projector light output increases when flashing high beam, but the halogen side ruins the look! Any recommendations on which light would go perfectly with the Xenon's?

They cannot be changed in the CCF files to come on alone as DRL's, they can only be programmed to be used in conjunction with dipped headlights when ignition switched on irrespective of position of headlamp switch. I did previously add a post of the options available in the CCF but not sure when I posted it. Cheers Col |
