This is what i was worried about, the more i look at it the more estate car it looks plus if it lost the high driving position that makes RRs special it would be a no from me . SVR 2018 in Santorini Black. |

Nice one Cooperman glad you liked the majority of what you saw. That is the same car they had in Solihull on their Velar open days.

I tried to draw the chap from JLR on MY18 for the RRS, but he was having none of it Feels like a couple of people around these parts have some inside knowledge but can't spill the beans!! I'm not too fussed about dual screens and pop-out handles, but adaptive LED headlights and a refresh of alloy designs would be welcome to the RRS ... oh, and another 50bhp on the V8 diesel |

I wish I could use the infotainment system and other features a bit more but couldn't unfortunately because a) the Velar wasn't on the agenda of the event I attended and b) the battery died

loving the jacked up estate comments. Agree it does look pretty long and weird when on a lower suspension setting but this had a lot to do with the wheel size too. Cars riding on 22"s and at normal ride height are far from looking like a jacked up estate.

That one, VA66XTJ is registered as a 3 litre, so will it be a SVR'd 3 litre Supercharged |

Hmm makes sense as to not bite in to RRS SVR sales? Wonder what the power output would be! |

The V6 makes up to 400bhp in the F-type. 400bhp in the Velar wouldn't be an unreasonable SVR. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

I think they may push this to circa 450BHP - lets wait and see but should be pretty rapid! |

I'd be surprised if they stick the RRS's SVR V8 lump in it. The RRS would be fairly pointless then as the Velar is significantly lighter and likely more nimble as it's a more road-oriented vehicle.
