Parking sensor flashing light

Just gone out in the car and now I have got a parking sensor fault, the light on the switch is flashing. I was looking at the interior fuse box so maybe I have disturbed something, just got to find what, does the wiring run through here or could it just be a coincidence.

Probably not the fuse.

A sensor or wire fault. If it's not making noises could be the speaker.

the rear speaker does need changing its gone really low, I can hardly hear it. Will check around the fuse box tomorrow, just a lot of wiring its like looking for a needle in a haystack. Is there anywhere I can download an electrical diagram?

the speaker changes tone to give an error tone.

wires usually fail behind the bumpers

If you have a continuous tone and the flashing light it could be water in the sensors. Have you just washed it perhaps with a sprayer or driven in heavy rain? If so let them dry out and it may fix itself. Not a permanent solution but it might help determine where the fault is. Robin

Hi
No i haven't washed it and it hadn't rained. There is no continuous sound just the flashing light. Back sensors are still working but fronts aren't.
Will plug in diagnostics later to see if they are showing a fault.

Bizzar.

Normally front fault knocks the tears out too

Strange all day yesterday it was flashing. No beeps apart from the rear sensors working as they should (beeper is low though), fronts not working at all. Today just been a run round to the shops, its been chucking it down with rain all night and they have worked perfectly. Strange beasts these cars are.

Aha. So the way forward; if you're going out somewhere and might want to park, make sure its raining. Problem solved! Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Robin

the only thing I have done is have the panels out under the glove box, by the fuse box. maybe I have disturbed something. I am waiting for a piggy back fuse to come so I can fit my dash cam, while I am fitting that I will check all the plugs under there, just in case.
Or move somewhere that's always raining, ..........Oh wait I already live there.

Sorry to follo w up again (you'll be getting fed up with me) but these may be useful:
1. There was a recent post about a member who fiddled with fuse box whilst battery was still connected. I think something shorted or similar and it cost thousands to put right. So be very careful
2. Not sure if yours and mine have similar fuse boxes but you might find my experience useful see:

Best of luck. Robin
