I recently tested a Disco 5 with this engine and was pretty impressed with it. It seeemed to have adequate power and was quiet and refined. It was onlyashort drive.

If you're not towing then it'll be fine. Stick a big tin tent or horse trailer on and it might need to be worked a bit harder. Having said that, the heavier RRS1 with the 2.7TDV6 tows ok and it's hardly known for being pokey. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Ave MPG 45.6, I never managed this with a Jag Xe In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures

If anything I think the 3.0d will be more economical than the 2.0d! Bigger engine, less grunt needed to move the heavy thing!?

The 520d did around 37mpg around town and the 530d did 32mpg with ease most of the time. |
