It looks like three long bolts through into this bracket and pull the suspension pump away to get to the two angled bottom alternator bolts. I'm hoping enough flex in the hoses .. My concern is this bracket? Can't find one anywhere . It looks like the ace bracket is different to carry the pump |

I'm wondering if I can mount the top idler somewhere else , it doesn't seem to do a lot to me, just puts a bit more angle on the belt |

Me to, I may try and make a peice of steel angle to fit round what's left with a nut welded to hold the idler, or may just try it without? |

Could be the engineers measured the belt requirements incorrectly (remember Ford own the engine and they still work in feet and inches) In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport. |

it wouldn't make any difference to the length - negligible, but you may be right in the sense of the distance between the water pump and the alternator. |

No mate . The active one has a pump under alternator hence longer belt |
