My experience with LR dealers is that they are very reluctant to knock anything of the price because they spout the fact that their vehicles are "priced to sell".

I paid a lot of money for an RRS a couple of years ago and my approach was to say that I will pay them the asking price, today, if they agreed to the following: I then listed in writing what I wanted, but this included an extra years warranty and road tax so there's about £1,700, plus new carpet mats, private plates made up, tank of fuel etc. I also said that I might still buy it later on they didn't agree but I would need to go home to think about it. A dealer does not want you to leave without a sale so they agreed. Now sold 2010 TDV8 Santorini black, lots of extras and best car I ever owned, and there's been a few. I will be back.

I came back with an L405 FFRR

Well done Smarttech, overall you've gained approx £1,100.....
£500 in the deal, 4 wheels refurb approx £80 a corner, 2 tyres approx £100 each ( trade ), and £80 tank of diesel. Gives you a nice warm feeling when you've walked away having a gain..... I always go for something, anything at all in a deal because I know the Dealership will never lose anyway. Enjoy your new purchase Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

I did a little bit better than £1100 as it was £150 + vat per wheel as they are painted inserts and polished spokes plus they put continentals on the car as that's what it had on the back so I told them I wanted matching front and rear.
Ok so the car was priced at top money being £37k list but I'm happy with what I got. When I saw the car I just thought I would see what I could get out of them but would of paid full screen price if I'd had to as it was the perfect car and colour and spec I wanted.
