United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black
has anyone rejected their car & got their money back?

Need some advice fellas, I'm a very unhappy chappy.

Just wondering if anyone has (or knows anyone else who has) managed to successfully challenge Land Rover and rejected their car to get a full refund/ new car. I know there are statutory laws etc but so far I haven't researched where I stand legally yet... wondered if any of you could point me in the right direction.

Cheers

Basicly you need your dealer on your side, they email details of your faults together with what they think your car is worth off to LR.
A 'panel' sits twice a week to look at the cases and decides how much if any they will contribute to make up to the cost price of a new one.
This is maybe a short broken down version and of course no two cases are the same.
Before it gets to the panel LR may well want to inspect the car for themselves and will probably try to get your faults rectified first.

Good luck !

Thanks Cliff - looks like we're in the same neck of the woods.. hopefully only a coincidence..!

re inspecting the car - LR have had it back at the factory for a month and still can't fix it, so I think that hurdle has been well and truly jumped. As for putting the contribution towards a new one, hmmm!

Cheers for the advice, I'll be following this up next week

Hi Noddy. I rejected my car 8 months old re. bad paint. Just heard yesterday that my rejection has been accepted and the dealer has agreed figures with LR and I can now decide what replacement car spec I want. One happy guy now! Rob

Noddy, understand if you don't want to go through the details now while it's still all up in the air, but it would be good to get a summary of the process when you're all done for the benefit of other forum users Very Happy

Cliff I agree. Even if you think the guy you're dealing with is the missing link don't let him know it. Massage their ego a little! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
