Would be ideal then... other than the small matter of a 1200 mile round trip (10 hours each way) and 250 on fuel !!! shame as they look perfect... |

Hi SB. I'm quite interested in these wheels and tyres. Again the journey to Somerset was a consideration (as nige) although it's not as far as he has to travel.

I know where your coming from Nige. My daughter moved to near Turriff and I've driven up a couple of times. Lovely country but miles from anywhere. Robin

Try big Dave at MD Couriers on here, site sponsor. Think it cost me around 60 to send 4x Wheels and tyres from Northumberland to the South Coast 2003 BMW M5 - 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black

Also cost me 60 to get 4 x 19" M+S Winter pattern tyres and wheels from Stirling to Dorset 4 years ago so it isn't that expensive by specialist courier. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I'm still tempted but have an issue that the forum may be able to help with. The tyres fitted are 255/50 r19 107Y. My handbook says that the recommended winter tyre for 19 inch wheels is 255/55 R19 111H.

The tyres are the correct size for RRS. The 107 is the load rating, again this is correct for RRS. The size and rating you're referring to is for a discovery. I think when I bought these the size in the book was wrong, otherwise I would have got the deeper tyre for the bigger sidewall. Hope that helps. |

If Somerset Bumpkin is actually in Swindon, I'd be traveling down the M4 on this Sunday PM and round the M25 past Clacketts Services if of any use... |
