Does your V8 have bigger brakes than the brembos on a MY10 V6?

It will probably say in your manual. I'm sure someone here used to have a V8 with 19s, the chap who had loads of problems with his engine.

They will fit over brembos if they are original LR alloys

Would be ideal then... other than the small matter of a 1200 mile round trip (10 hours each way) and £250 on fuel !!! shame as they look perfect...

Eaters.... nowhere is close to here you kinda get used to it... trade off between perfect lifestyle/area and civilisation....

If you get them and then don't like them... let me know... East Sussex is a little closer (but not much !!!) and I could tie it in with a visit to family... (arrgh!)

I'm still tempted but have an issue that the forum may be able to help with. The tyres fitted are 255/50 r19 107Y. My handbook says that the recommended winter tyre for 19 inch wheels is 255/55 R19 111H.
So I am concerned:
1. Are these suitable tyres for my car (the difference between 107Y and 111H)
2. about what my insurance company would say to that
3. Whether there would be any effect on speedometer readings, suspension set up, traction control etc

Any thoughts anyone? Robin

The tyres are the correct size for RRS. The 107 is the load rating, again this is correct for RRS. The size and rating you're referring to is for a discovery. I think when I bought these the size in the book was wrong, otherwise I would have got the deeper tyre for the bigger sidewall. Hope that helps.
