It doesn't sound as complicated as the FF.

Okay if my girlfriend is at work I'll enlist the help of my two small dogs. It's about time they did some graft. |

It's a straight lift over the wing. Bit of a fiddle getting it in but it's not too bad other than the sheer bulk of the battery. Be careful when you push it in as the engine ECU + another ECU live in the box immediately behind the battery below the windscreen.

Killing the battery wouldn't be good! I've bought a Bosch battery so will report back on the quality of the fit with the retainer etc |

It's only £10 less than the Bosch one with delivery. |

That link works out to around £85. The Bosch one from Costco is £95 which is similar to eBay and comes with a four year warranty so they'll exchange for pretty much any reason within that time period |

If you have not got a Costco card you can pick one of these up. Just walk in to the euro car parts counter and demand the ebay price not the web price! I picked up a Bosch S5 last week, same size but more cranking power than the S4 and 5 year warranty. for £102

That sounds like an even better deal. Is it worth the bother in reality of going and returning the old one etc? |
