I purchased a newer Napa leather steering wheel - cost £179 about 5 years ago - its a 30 minute job to swap the old one over - there is a video on Powerful UK - don`t buy the airbag removal tool - I can send you mine - just pay for the postage & send it back when your ready

Had mine replaced last year for the same reason, by Royal Steering wheels - cost around £120 including fitting. I watched him fit it for me and having seen what it takes to do, it is very simple taking him around 10 minutes to do. You just need the air bag removal tool and the right size socket for the steering wheel nut. Also don't forget to disconnect the battery first

That looks smart & is a great price - I still have my old 2005 Steering wheel if you need to send that as a donor - means you can keep yours on your Sport just send me yours back when its all done - you can have the tool at the same time. I did look for the supplier I used on flea bay but no sign of them 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

Thanks for the replies, and Peachy that's a very generous offer. I've just spoken to Royal Steering wheels. Very helpful and they keep refurbished wheels in stock, so they'll have one with me tomorrow! They offer a version with or without thumb grips so I've gone for one with those as it's a bit different as well.
