Which space saver should i get???

Hi guys

could you help please, brought myself a 2007 RRS HSE 2.7,

it doesn't have a spare wheel, brought a jack and wheel brace ect but am unsure what size space saver / tyre to get.

The wheel size on the car is 20". i assume that i would need a 20" space saver but didn't know if the fact that the wheels/ tyres on the car are low profile and all the space savers i have seen don't seem to have the low profile tyres therefore didn't know how it would affect it. don't want to wind the diff up etc.

thanks in advance for you help !

Why do you want a space saver? My vehicle has a full sized spare. 07MY RRS TDV6

Hi guys. Cheers for the replies. I guess I was looking at space savers
Because I have heard that lots of full size alloys are getting pinched
And my thought was who would want to steal a space saver

Although I must admit I'd rather have a proper wheel in the event of a puncture

Mind made up. I'll buy an alloy. Cheers 2007 RRS HSE

The only difference between the the full size spare and the 4 other wheels was that usually the spare was a black painted steel wheel rather than an unpainted alloy, hence the small winch to lower it and raise it that is in the boot floor. If you car has no spare slung underneath it then you need to check that the winch wire is still in tact and hasn't been cut because as well as a new spare wheel you will need a new hoist/winch if the original has been removed when the spare was stolen...... 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I've just sold my space saver and replaced it with a full size wheel and tyre.

My reason for doing this is that I was in central France when my tyre was wrecked, followed by the space saver going the same way. Replacing the full sized tyre was not a problem although I had to wait 24 hours for delivery as "Range Rover Sport" tyres are not stocked at many busy tyre outlets.

The space saver replacement was not available anywhere and even the Land Rover dealer 80kms away couldn't source one, so I continued my 1 month journey without a spare. This was a little troubling as 2 days out was a spoiler and could make a real mess of a run for the ferry. Back home, it was no problem to get a replacement from Camskill.

It just makes sense to me to be as self sufficient as possible when travelling far from home. My recommendation is to fit full size.

Gary
