I used to wait for the bong after the system had finished its checks but since a software update it no longer makes the bong so i just wait for a while then start the car, just wondering what and when you guys start yours. ?

When either the system check is done, or when the glow plug light goes out

Get in and press button once and let go, car starts itself when its ready. I'm in the shed, I'll be back in the real world in a minute.

If the glow plugs haven't warmed up enough in cold weather, the car just takes slightly longer to start after pressing button. John

RRS MY12 SDV6 HSE. Sumatra Black/Ebony & Walnut + Dynamic Pack, + Cold Climate Pack + Memory Pack, Digital TV/DVD, Premium Leather, Cornering Lights, Cooler/Fridge Box, & most Options.

Getting in, pressing the button once and letting it go just turns ignition on. Never automatically started the car for me no longer how long I leave it like that That's how it should be because you don't always turn ignition on with the intention of starting the car. A second button press and release turns ignition back off. You have to keep the button pressed to start the car.

it will only start car if you have your foot on the brake pedal.If you just want ignition on then don't touch the brake.

Yeah, sorry. I forgot to say press brake pedal before pressing start button  I'm in the shed, I'll be back in the real world in a minute.

Get in, put key in, turn on. put seat belt on and then start it. Press the accept sat nav button, adjust radio volume, put glasses on and drive off  07,TDV8,Black, Black Heated leather all round, Rear Entertainment with Headpones & Remote, TV, DVD, Pure Dab Digital Radio, Sidesteps, Adaptive Headlights, sunroof, now working fuel burning heater )))

I try to wait for the system check to complete.

Yep, I do the press brake pedal, one push on the button and just wait for it to start. Takes noticeably longer in really cold weather during which I put my seat belt on. Time and Motion, eh?
