Audio Connectivity Module.... allows you to connect an iPod directly to the stereo and use the steering wheel controls to access the tracks... somewhat limited functions but certainly better than no iPod at all! 😀 |

An alternative to the ACM would be one of these (dependant on your setup):

I have yet to find a headunit that would compliment the RRS interior. Regards etc.,

Ok, having struggled removing various trim parts (but not losing trim clips !!) and removed the stereo I now find that the connectors for the stereo side don't fit!

My March 2015 car is registered to a "57" plate cherished number, as were my previous 2 cars - 2011 and 2014 built cars. The previous owner of yours had it registered to a standard issue plate before putting a cherished number that was an 08 plate, you can make a new car look older but you cannot make an older car look newer when assigning cherished number plates. I would suggest that also it has sat languishing in a storage compound unwanted for those 3 years................. and thus a bit of a bargain to the first keeper. I bought my 57 late RRS TDV8 with a huge discount because it was a 2007MY car bought after the 2008MY had come on sale. The only spec difference was in 2008 the phone cradle and module was deleted and replaced with an electrically adjusted instead of manually adjusted steering column and for 2008 the full on B/T hands free like we have now was fitted - I decided that as the only person driving the car at the time, for the discount offered, I could live without wireless handsfree phone system and an electrically adjusted steering column! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it 2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced 2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW |

Hi Tim, could the introduction of B/T explain why the wiring loom is slightly different into the back of the stereo? Bit of a pain as I now have to get the newer part and this is going to cost me a whole lot more 😾 |

Could be because the B/T needed to have an auto-mute for the audio volume, not sure if that was needed with the old cradle system under the cubby box lid. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
