Spain

First of all check your VIN. plus any recall work should be recorded in your service book.

Remember your main dealer will be able to tell you if any recall is outstanding.

Not sure, but you couls always put your details in here:-

I think the interval is 105,000 miles. I think I did mine at about 100,000, a couple of years ago.

Your car seems to be at average mileage for the year (10,000 miles pa), so that seems pretty normal.

Of course if you want peace of mind, there is no harm in changing them early. It gives a nice opportunity to inspect other things like hoses for condition.

Looking to replace my D2 with a tdv6 RRS.. one I am interested in is a '56' 2007 .. is this likely to be affected with the problem topic of this thread?

Thanks

From what I read the change interval is 105000 miles or 84 months .. I have always understood that this implies 'whichever comes first'

I see no mention of changing other than at 105000 despite many being 10 or more years old

Is this really normal practice?

Common practice, if not normal practice.

It is an arse-aching job and expensive to have done by someone else, so they probably tend not to be done early.

I did mine myself, as mentioned above. The belts and pulleys were immaculate when I removed them, but obviously I replaced them with new for peace of mind.

Haha, sometimes I wonder about the benefits of progress!!

Mind you, I know which is better on a long motorway journey!
