Mines been mapped with an EGR delete but I haven't blanked the egr off. Would this cause the same problem?
Kind regards
Anthony

It amazes me how many people have theirs mapped with the "EGr delete function" but then don't bother blanking it....
The version of egr delet you have, is probably just a deletion of a load of fault codes, this is the easy way that most generic remappers do it..... Rolling Eyes
Additionally, if yours is 2006, it makes no difference other than deleting codes you need!

But if you've not had the egr blanked, then you will still get the same problem if it gets stuck open. Additionally, you really should remove the centre butterfly valve as when that closes to activate the egr air flow, if there is no air for it to take, it might start sucking up oil or causing a vacuum elsewhere.

I only ever apply the EGR delete to vehicles years that actually need to have it and it is done in a completely different way, so you still know when you have faultcodes that need to be addressed.

Get it blanked fully would be my recommendation. Bodsys Brake Bible

Went out to car this morning and struggled to start. Had to feather the throttle. I think it's the egr valves. Engine is being choked and flaps must be stuck open. Orders the blanking kit. Will post once I've fitted
Kind regards
Anthony

Egr banking plates solved the problem.
