Installing Side Steps without taking wheel off?

Hi all,

I received a set of side steps today for my RRS 2005 and I've just been to look at the job before I install tomorrow.
There are 2 small screws to take out near to the rear wheel that fixes the existing sill. These are a pain to access as there is minimal room between the screw and wheel.
Any suggestions on getting these screws out without taking the wheel off?

Thanks

Good idea gornal! I'll try that. My only fear is that as the car is 2005 the screws look rusty and may have seized! Sad

Used very similar method when I fitted a pair except used a small ratcheting spanner instead of molegrips, worked a treat. Thumbs Up also replaced screws with stainless steel one's when refitted.

Just

done this and to be honest took the wheels off as it was easier. It also said 20 minutes a side which I think is complete Censored as everything is so fiddly it took me 3.5hrs but I took my time
