Your favourite RRS feature?

I'm new to the site and the world of Range Rovers. Looking at them, there's tonnes of different options so I wondered what's the one feature you couldn't live without? Smile

I have owned my RRS for all of 3 weeks now. The best feature by far is the ride comfort / driving position. Superb. The aspect I dislike the most is the sheer bulk of the thing - especially the width of the narrow country lanes around me. Trouble is, I am fairly sure that the it is that very bulk that enables it to be so comfortable. Catch22 Embarassed

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

I've owned RRS's since they were launched in 2005 (and some other Rangies in between as well) and the best optional feature I think is the heated steering wheel................ small item but in the winter it warms you up far faster than the heated seats. Problem is I don't have it on my current car (all my RR's and RRS's since 2003 have had one though) and the last few days have made me consider retro fitting one! If your car sits outside overnight it is a godsend in winter. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I'm with you Tim, as far as I'm concerned if a vehicle doesn't have the heated steering wheel, it's not worth considering. Is it an age thing?

Cheers,

For me it's Adaptive cruise control, takes a bit of getting used to. Life's too short to drive boring cars !

Thumbs Up

My favourite feature is the ability to be both a long range cruiser and an effective off road vehicle in one. That it can also tow heavy loads comfortably is great too. Drop the rear seats and big stuff can be taken to the tip easily and comfortably. The high driving position is a relaxing feature - vision over other cars in traffic makes for more relaxed progress.

For "bits of kit" I'd say the adaptive cruise control, heated seats and heated windscreen. Not having to scrape ice from the screen is just glorious.

The things is, all three of the big Land Rovers are very similar in these regards. All excellent on road and off, luxurious, practical, comfortable. If they could just add "bomb proof reliability" to the list I'd never look anywhere else ever again. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I believe that it isn't too difficult - IIRC PowerfulUK has a video on their YouTube channel showing how it is done. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Interesting that no one (including me) has mentioned things like the 3.5T towing capacity, fording ability, low ratio transfer box etc etc ... Embarassed
