I would like to lower the ride height on my 2014 V8 SC Dynamic a little bit, probably to approx the level of the the SVR model, so perhaps -20mm max. Note that I DON'T want to make it a bouncy low-rider!

I have seen lowering links but the JLR warranty people would likely throw a fit and I wonder what adjusting the height via links does to the ride quality?? The other option might be to use the GAP IIDTool BT since they claim:

Advanced Programming Functions

Car Configuration / Personalization (CCF editing, full CCF access upon request)
Height Adjustment (front, rear or all)
Suspension individual sensor calibration (needed after a repair)
Backup of original height and CCF values
3 personalized height profiles

Any feedback on lowering and/or the IIDTool BT would be appreciated.

Welcome to the Forum.
I use my GAP Diagnostic IID BT Tool for altering heights for my vehicle, ensure you record original figures before you start.
I see no reason this would stop any warranty, hasn't on my car, unless you go mad and it stands out, if you go to low with adjustments it can bottom out.
Read the various threads on this, if having a service at a LR dealership, I'm sure they would do this while in for service, at a not to expensive cost. John

SVR ride height is the same isn't it? 

The SVRs certainly appear to sit lower, whether they are sitting on the 21" or optional 22" wheels, compared to my V8 SC Dynamic model. I am not confusing the parked/loading height with standard operation height

Regardless, I would like my RRS to sit approx 15mm to 20mm lower than it sits now.

Phil is correct; SVRs run exactly the same ride height as the standard cars. That's the whole point of them being as effective off road as their standard partners.

Lowering your car by 15-20mm permanently will lead to all manner of suspension system durability issues in the long term and more importantly, turn what is a nicely handling SUV into something completely different.

It's up to you if you do it, but just be aware of warranty implications etc

Also lowering it will alter geometry & it could start scrubbing tyres off unless you have it aligned when its been lowered.

Hence my comment on durability as it may not pull back in on Geo from that far
