Headlight Lens

Looked at a RRS today and the headlight lens on both headlights looked very 'dull' and not as clear as I would have expected. Is this a normal issue with RRS headlights and can they be buffed up? I assume they are a polycarbonate construction?
Thanks

Meguiars do a kit in Halfords for £30, not tried it mind. I touched up my headlights at the weekend they were suffering some discolouration on the tops that was really bugging me.

I had some G4 laying around and a can of clear coat, so set about rubbing them down and laying a clear coat over. Only spent 10mins on each light so not perfect but lots better until getting around to doing something better in the spring.

Lots of vids on you tube.

You can rub then down and lacquer them.

You can also get lacquer runs Confused

Lights can also suffer from condensation, (described in handbook) and although it does clear,
if frequently happening does seem to discolour, leave marks on inside of lamp, which unfortunately you can't clean,
But shouldn't be happening on recent models. Whistle John

Hi Phillh

Sounds a good idea to clean. Will give it a go as my 2005 lenses are a bit opaque along the top edge.

Did you need to lacquer afterwards ?
