2008 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

EGR Valve Blanking

Hi All,

I've been told I can't replace my EGR valve with a blanking plate as its a newer engine? My RRS is a 2.7 TDV6 late 2007 model. Does anyone have any information on this?

I'm not certain, but I don't think that's correct. It'll probably need a mod to stop the engine warning light coming on though.

I think that might be the reason. I've been doing some searching but no real conclusive answer that I've come across other than some cars needed a software mod to stop the MIL coming on.

I can blank your egr and add the relevant software update to stop the MIL coming on. I've done many many of these pre and post 07.
Pre 07 doesn't need the software update. Bodsys Brake Bible

Egr blanking

Hi Bodsy.
Can the EGR valves be blanked off on the tdv8 and if so can you do this and what would be the cost.

Thanks Bodsy. Wish I had posted this earlier as I've already had my EGR valves changed the other day. Out of interest, can you PM me an indicative cost for blanking the valves for future reference?
