I have a update disc for my 2012 model year RRS but cannot find the unit where the sat/nav dvd is, it is not under the front seat so any ideas please? Michael

Its a hard drive system for your model, I believe you can update the 2012 via USB too.

you can only update the 2010-2012 hard drive units via firewire from a dealer , cost is around £165....

It was from 2012 when the infotainment system was updated that allows USB updates. See link ^

I can confirm that HemoRRS is correct, you can indeed update your maps by purchasing from the previous links shown and upload by using USB, always ensure your battery is fully charged. I have done this twice now on my 2012 RRS with Hard Drive Sat Nav.
It was originally my main dealer (Hatfields, Pickering, North Yorkshire) that told me to do it myself, as they don't do the updates for this series, as they would charge more.  John

Without trying to sound rude, in the USB sockets. Best one to use is one in the little box in front of coffee cup holders
There are others in car in lid of central box between seats where fridge is fitted.
There is more USB sockets in the rear passenger seat area, behind the central box between front seats. Depending on spec of your car, there can be another USB socket in the load area at rear.
If you have purchased the DVD map disc, this will be no good for you unfortunately, as you need the USB map version and the licence number to activate it.
This is obtainable from the links in earlier posts, it costs around the £169.00 mark I believe from memory.
LR Dealers can do it, but they will charge labour on top of purchase for loading the new 2017 maps.
2015/16 maps unfortunately are still the 2014 version.  John
