I actually found dynamic in the SDV8 to be less fun than the SDV6. There was a lot more weight over the nose and I could feel it. |

I agree with you on this one AB,,i tried the V8 & that's one of the reasons I went for the V6,,throwing it into corners wasn't the same,just too heavy on the front.Also the 0-60 is only about 0.3 sec difference. News to me. Yes, there have been a few (very few) reported, but not enough to classify this as a "characteristic" of this engine. I have had three of them, two in Jags and this one, and have done over 200,000 miles with them. Never a problem. And the Jag forums don't report such issues in significant numbers, either. a fairly significant number of terminal failures in ZA, from online surveys, the figures stands at a conservative 13%-16%.

in the case of ZA vehicles, we can rule out the oil contamination factor, since none of the ZA-spec TDV6/SDV6 are equipped with a DPF.
